This is one of my favorite weekends of the year, but also one of the most hectic. I have three auctions, all in Houston (I love in Austin for those who don’t know) so there won’t be any new posts until at least Monday, but maybe even Tuesday. I will finish the Bold Predictions piece with the National League. There was just no time in between the Middle Relief piece and prepping for my busiest draft weekend of the year.
I hope everyone is enjoying what I’m sure is the biggest draft (lumping in auctions with this phrase) weekend of the season with Opening Day arriving Thursday.

Monday: 01.4.2010
I’ll have content up Tuesday and Wednesday of this week. Thursday is the National Title Game with my Longhorns involved and then Friday I’m off to Vegas for the weekend. After Wednesday (when I will try to post 2-3 things), I won’t post until at least Monday of next week.

And it’ll be a little longer, but work life isn’t great right now and it’s taking priority over this hobby. Granted, baseball writing is almost assuredly my favorite hobby, it is still something I do for leisure. More soon.

Monday: 01.26.2009
It’s been awhile since I’ve had anything new, but my computer is in the shop right so I’ve only got the work computer at my disposal. I just called GeekSquad and the news wasn’t particularly good. Hopefully it gets fixed sooner than later. I have most of my baseball data on my external hard drive so I should be able to continue regular posting tonight/tomorrow. I’m overdue for an update on my mock draft so I’ll get that done ASAP as that doesn’t requires any of the stuff from my external HD.
Is there anything more annoying than computer troubles?

Hey all, my writing time has been tied up in some other things I’m reticent to divulge just yet, but it’s cut strongly into my time for posting here. I’ll try to get something up by the weekend and then hopefully back on track with regular posts to finish out the season and carry through the playoffs.

I had a great trip to Philadelphia this weekend, but I’m still beat down after three plus hours of delays on my flight back. It was already a late flight so adding the three hours and change made work pretty brutal today. I’ll be back tomorrow with a worthwhile posting!

Wednesday: 07.23.2008
After touching down earlier today, Hurricane Dolly has brutalized my other hometown of Harlingen, TX. My parents and brother (17) were pretty well-prepared so they are hunkered down and just watching the rain come down in Biblical proportions. Here are a few shots my brother took with his phone and sent to me that show how their wooden privacy fence went down on both sides of the backyard:
The painfully slow movement of this hurricane is the biggest issue now as it will continue dump inches of rain on an area ill-prepared to handle it.
